Dear Solar Dealers, I hope this email finds you well.

We hope you are enjoying your holiday season. As we move into the new year, we have a few updates to share with you regarding our “Tier 2” projects, a new Price Per Watt Limits from Mosaic, and the introduction of a New Contact for Rooging Quotes:

1. Tier 2 Projects Guide:

At the time of selling a project with a system size equal to or greater than 11.7 kW (consider this for additions), it is necessary to provide the home insurance declaration page. It should contain the following information:

  • Name(s)
  • Effective date
  • Coverage ( "personal liability" of $300,000 is required)
  • All pages comprising the document in its entirety

On the other hand, the following additional information is required:

  • Utility bill
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Occupations of the insured, if retired, it is important to know their occupation before retirement
  • Pets, if you have dogs, it is important to specify the breed
  • Pool (yes or no)
  • Notify if there have been policy cancellations or home accidents
  • Notify if you have a home-based business

You can upload the insurance policy declaration page and provide answers to the aforementioned additional information at the following link:

💡
Insurance Form Link (The link can also be found on the right menu on Solo).
💡
It would be a good practice to have this link at the time of sale to expedite the process. However, if you already have the information, you can upload it to the SALE block in Scoop.

In the following stages, it will receive follow-up from the respective departments:

  • Scoop Blocks
    • Sale
    • Design
    • Installation

Until we have the required document and information, the project will remain in active management, affecting only the installation scheduling. It is of utmost importance that we all work together to ensure we do not reach the end of the project and encounter a scenario where the process is delayed, causing any inconvenience with the customer at the end and/or later in the interconnection process.

💡
Finally, if the UMB (Umbrella Insurance) is managed by the sales team, this should be established at the beginning of the sale, leaving a note in Scoop. Always provide the UMB declaration page to proceed with the installation scheduling.

We hope this information serves as a guide going forward to facilitate the process.

2. Price Per Watt Limits and updates from Mosaic:
  1. Implementing Price Per Watt (PPW) caps on Jan. 1, 2024 for PowerSwitch CHOICE and PLUS solar and/or battery loans.
    1. Notion image
  1. Requiring itemization on Home Improvement Agreements (HIA) when non-solar or battery scope of work are included in the loan amount.
  1. Requesting a greater emphasis on system details accuracy to avoid countersignature delays.
3. Introduction of New Contact for Roofing:

To enhance our services and streamline communication, we have appointed a dedicated contact person for all roofing-related inquiries. Please join me in welcoming Julian Mahecha, who will be your primary point of contact for any questions or requests related to roofing quotes and general information.
