Dear Equity Solar dealers,

Happy New Year! We hope this message finds you well and that you had a wonderful holiday season. As we usher in the new year, we want to express our gratitude for your continued partnership and support.

We'd like to inform you about some important policy updates that will be effective from the beginning of this year.

These changes are designed to streamline our processes and ensure the smooth progression of solar projects. Please take a moment to review the following key updates:

1. New Year Greetings

We wish you a prosperous and successful New Year ahead! May this year bring new opportunities and achievements for your business. Thank you for your dedication and hard work in contributing to the success of our solar initiatives.

2. Projects on Hold for More Than 60 Days

Effective immediately, any project that is on HOLD for more than 60 days will undergo a change in the panel model available for sale at that time. It is crucial to coordinate with the Project Coordinator (PC) to confirm the availability of the originally sold panel.

If the model is available, the Change of Order (COO) is not required. Please ensure that the necessary steps are taken to comply with this policy.

3. Projects with Approved Solar Permit:

For projects with an APPROVED SOLAR PERMIT for more than 30 days, the panel model should also be updated to reflect the options available for sale at that time. The respective COO must be generated. Additionally, please be aware of the following important points:

  • The policy dictates that a project with an approved solar permit will be moved to an archived status, and the CAP payment will be removed.
  • When reactivating the project, it is mandatory to generate a COO with a change in the panel model.
  • Always consult with the Project Coordinator (PC) to confirm the availability of the originally sold panel. If the model is available, the COO is not required.

These policy changes are designed to enhance efficiency and ensure the timely completion of solar projects. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to achieve our mutual goals.

If you have any questions or require further clarification on these updates, please don't hesitate to reach out to your designated Project Coordinator (PC) or our Success Team.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our solar initiatives, and we look forward to a successful and collaborative year ahead.
