👷🏼Inspection
What is an inspection?
- Equity Solar meets with a building inspector to review the Solar Installation.
- Our Inspection Team will handle the entire Inspection Process. There is no Sales or Customer action needed for the inspection.
What happens if an inspection fails?
- If an inspection fails, our technicians will receive a report of what is needed in order for the inspection to pass.
- We will work with our service or design team to fix whatever may be needed in order to get the inspection to pass.
Inspection estimated timeliness
- The time it takes for inspections can vary based on the county, and the timelines for re-inspections may vary depending on the necessary fixes or adjustments.
- We aim to schedule the inspection as soon after the installation as possible.
- Our team aims to give customers as much notice as possible regarding the scheduled inspection, but the timelines can vary significantly depending on the specific county regulations.
- In some cases, we will be able to provide a few days' notice while in others it may only be a few hours.
- Our Inspection Scheduling team will try to reach the homeowner by phone call as soon as an inspection is scheduled for their home.
- In some cases, it is not necessary for the client to be during the inspection, it may vary depending on the county.
The inspection must be approved before we can request the project for Permission to Operate (PTO) (See Interconnection Process)
